Information Officer
The Information Officer is **Sipho Nkosi **, reachable at info@data-schema.digital for POPIA requests.
What we collect
- Inquiry form: name, email, optional phone number, and your message about schema or migration needs.
- Consent preference: a value stored in your browser (localStorage) recording whether you accepted or rejected non-essential storage described on our cookie notice.
We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking on this website.
Purposes and lawful bases
We process inquiry data to respond to your request and, if you proceed, to prepare proposals for consulting services (POPIA lawful basis: processing necessary for taking steps at your request prior to a contract, and legitimate interest in operating our business).
Consent preference is stored to honour your choice about local storage as described on the cookie page.
Retention
Inquiry messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and, if you become a client, for the duration of the engagement plus any statutory record-keeping period applicable to tax and contract law. Consent records remain until you clear site data or we change the storage key (documented on the cookie page).
Security
Inquiries are submitted over HTTPS to a form handler on **data-schema.digital **. Access is limited to staff who need it to respond. No method of transmission is perfectly secure; we apply reasonable organisational and technical measures appropriate to a small consultancy.
Your rights (POPIA sections 11–14, 23–25)
You may request access to personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, object to processing where applicable, and ask us to delete information that is no longer required. Contact the Information Officer at the email above. You may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) if you believe your rights have been infringed.
Cross-border transfers
We do not intentionally transfer inquiry data outside South Africa unless you ask us to use a specific tool hosted elsewhere; if that arises, we will tell you before processing.
Changes
We will update this notice when our practices change and adjust the date above.
